Join Barrow Cadbury Trust, British Future and Hope not Hate for ‘Immigration and integration: getting it right locally’, an essential event for anyone working on integration, community cohesion and immigration in the UK.

The National Conversation on Immigration, the biggest-ever public consultation on immigration, is providing a detailed picture of local findings. Hosting 130 meetings with citizens and stakeholders across every nation and region of the UK, it has amassed an unprecedented body of localised evidence and information about the issues that affect integration and responses to the pressures of immigration.

At this event keynote speakers, workshops and panels will look at practical ways to promote integration and facilitate greater public engagement in policy making.

Keynote speakers include:

Yvette Cooper MP, presenting findings from the cross-party Home Affairs Select Committee’s recent inquiry on building public consensus on immigration.
Canadian Senator Ratna Omidvar, sharing lessons from Canada’s integration programme and policies.
Professor Miles Hewstone, speaking about the potential for contact within communities to address prejudice and stereotyping.

The conference is free to attend but places are limited.
