Cities of Migration report shares good integration practice from across the world

In its latest publication, Good Ideas from Successful Cities: Municipal Leadership on Immigrant Integration, Cities of Migration shares nearly 65 international good practices from cities across Europe, North America and Australasia.

Successful integration of urban migrants is a pressing issue for all cities around the globe and it is at the city level where we find the political and community voices that embrace immigrants, knowing they bring strength, vitality and innovation. That’s why city governments play an essential role in the integration of newcomers.

The stories in this report showcase local governments responding to community needs across a wide field of action to build open, inclusive cities and shared urban prosperity. These good ideas are practical, grounded in the business of daily living, and transportable from one city to others.

A series of short country reports, including one from the UK due for release shortly, provide a additional selection of municipal good practices in comparative perspective – and later this autumn Cities of Migration will release a further report Lessons from Successful Cities: Municipal Leadership in Immigrant Integration, in which international experts provide policy insights for city leaders and their community partners.
