The Trust currently has three vacancies:
ASSISTANT MANAGER, CONNECT FUND
Are you a professional and experienced manager with a good grasp of social investment and social sector infrastructure? We are looking for an Assistant Manager to help deliver the Connect Fund programme across England. The Connect Fund, previously known as the ‘Social Investment Infrastructure Fund’, is a £3 million fund which supports intermediaries and infrastructure organisations to make social investment work better for a wider range of charities and social enterprises. The Assistant Manager will be responsible for helping to develop and manage it, with the aim of strengthening and diversifying the social investment infrastructure sector to include new entrants, particularly beyond London. The Trust was selected by the Access Foundation for Social Investment to run the fund in 2016.
This is an exciting time for social investment, as the sector grows and matures. We, the Access Foundation and the wider sector see the Connect Fund as having a critical role in broadening access to this form of funding.
Deadline for applications 5 p.m. Monday 12 February. Interviews Tuesday 27 February.
DIRECTOR, FAIR BY DESIGN PROGRAMME
Can you lead an exciting, collaborative, initiative to end the ‘poverty premium’ in 10 years? The Fair by Design Change Programme is looking for a Director to lead and manage it. The poverty premium is a term for people in poverty paying more for goods and services, such as energy, insurance, etc., than those with higher incomes. Fair by Design’s (FBD) mission is to end the poverty premium within 10 years. It’s a bold ambition. It was conceived by the Joseph Rowntree Foundation (JRF) and Big Society Capital (BSC) working in partnership, and operates in collaboration with a range of partners including Barrow Cadbury Trust. We are leading and managing the FBD Change Programme, although in time consideration may be given to creating an independent entity. Additional grant funding has already been committed by Comic Relief, Big Lottery Fund and Joseph Rowntree Foundation.
FBD is split into two strands that tackle the issue from different perspectives and together we hope will achieve the mission: the Change Programme and the Venture Fund.
Deadline for applications 5 p.m. Tuesday 30 January, Interviews Tuesday 13 February.
PROGRAMME OFFICER, CONNECT FUND

The Connect Fund, previously known as the ‘Social Investment Infrastructure Fund’, is a £3 million fund which supports intermediaries and infrastructure organisations to make social investment work better for a wider range of charities and social enterprises.
The main roles of the post are to provide administrative and operations support for the programme, support the Connect Fund Manager and Assistant Manager (for which we are also recruiting), and maximise the impact of the Fund’s work by supporting dissemination, convening meetings and communications.
